New classes and KAI [Archive] - ForumsHQ
I have a tank class that gets kai, now with adding kai magic.. will mystics also learn any kai abilities i add in for my tank class? Im not sure how kai works as far as when mystics learn them. I want to add some kai for my gladiator class but i dont want mystics to learn the abilities i set aside for gladiator. Any thoughts? thanks

i would think you would be able to class restrict it. kinda like how hogs cant use kai forms, but they can use powers.
upon actually LOOKING at a form, check out the textblock say form of the crane links to. you will hafta do something like that. race check:class check, cast

just a thought, but since mystics are kai-1 couldnt i technically make gladiators kai-2? and make their new powers kai 2 only? not sure how that would work.. i dont feel like testing on a live bbs :)

mud is only set up for 1 level of kai AFAIK. it doesn't matter if you set the class to kai-0, kai-1, or kai-2, it still works the same. if you make a spell and set it as kai mage type then any kai class will automaticly learn it. the only way to get around it is make the spell have a mage type of "none" and then make a scroll or something to learn the spell and restrict it to whatever class.
