Connection Problems
Could not open connection to the host, on port 23. No connection could be made because the target machine actively refused it. The board is up and running fine and the router (D-Link) is working. Have it forwarding port 23 but still no luck. Any clues?

Yeah, he was logged into my aim account, I think we've figured something out, however my NIC card took a dump shortly after, so i gotta wait till i get some cash before i can get another one :( BLAH!

ok well then why are you still even mentioning the router. (for those uninformed ... he has two computers and he can't telnet from one computer to the other). you need to get telnet from one computer to the other to work before you even do anything with the router. if you can't telnet to the machine inside the network, you sure as hell ain't gonna be able to telnet to it from outside.

good thing i have 5 others
what kinda connection do they got going? on what OSes?
why are yall even talking about a router? u dont need one to service a Server to the i-net. So why are yall using one?

maybe because they have *2* computers, or because a router acts as a firewall as well, therefor providing better security.
