Problem with new Sound Blaster Card [Archive] - ForumsHQ

Just got a new SB Audigy Gamer soundcard and I cant get any sound out of the bloody fucker!!! Actually the only sound I do get is when I enable Digital Output and I get ALOT of static and not much more :(





Anyone else have this problem?

you have a 2-speaker setup or 4?

2 speaker setup. This reminds me of the time turtle beach first came out.

you gotta make sure you have 2 speakers chosen in the audiohq control panel and/or the sound & multimedia properties for the speakers. you also gotta make sure you plug the 1/8" jack for the speakers in the correct output on the card. it has a jack for the rear speakers and a jack for the front speakers. on my sb live card the rear speakers is the leftmost jack (when looking at it at from the back of the computer) and then the front output is the one to the right of it.

Its cool. Returned it, paid about $40 more for a better sb card and its niice.
