Is there a way to say... make a class from the template of a mage so he has mage 3... and also have them be able to use druid 1?? I saw a CLASSOK under the abilities section but i am unsure if that will have an effect

thanks :cigar:

no you cant. since there is only one type of magery assigned to a class that is what it has to have. you could make a druid spell able to be used by a mage if you changed the magery type on the spell to none, but the class's stats would have to be built around whatever it's primary mage type was (i mean like needing intellect for mage spells and wisdom for priest spells).

classok is to allow a class to wear an item no matter what it's armour type or weapon type is. so if you wanted a mage to be able to weild a Feyr you would give it the classok ability with a value of 12 (12 being mage). also, descriptions for the abilities are available in the ability list editor -- "Used in items to make the item equippable by classes they aren't intended to be used with."

Thats what I did.. You just remake the spells, Its really easy in NMR too (Thanks for that Template action Syn..) Anyways, I have 3 new spellcasting classes on my BBS, they are Wizard(Mage-1), Shaman(Druid-1) and Pagan (Priest-1)..(Items to compensate for the Magic-1 defeciency) They each have the base spells for those classs, but ive made a complete new list of spells for them otherwise.. Wizards share magic from all 3 classes, simply just re-make the duplicate spell, and change its magic type.

For what you want to do, Just make your new Mage-3 class, and then re-make every single Druid-1 spell, and change them to Mage-3. Make sure to 'Class Restrict' The scrolls !!! Very important.

thats exactly what i did. I have 5 new classes so far. I have a Monk.. which is like a Mystic, with a bit more powerful martial arts but instead of kai they get priest 1. I have a Samurai, but it is like a heavier armor ninja but with kick and jumpkick abilities. I have a sorceror which has mage 2 and druid 1. plus new types of druid elemental spells. (i tried to make a 4 line spell that casted like elemental fury, but the first attack was supposed to be like a resist cold followed by a dragonfire type line, then a resist fire followed by a blast of ice.) that didnt work out to well, it kept crashing the bbs. some read error. Oh well. I also have a gladiator, which is like a limited warrior with kai powers. I also made one which i think is kind of unique. I called it a battlemage... They get 3 types of stat enhancing spells. at level 1, 25 and 40. what they do is basically enhance the characters power extremely for a brief 2 rounds and costs almost a 3rd of their mana.. they get mage1 for a bit of extra defense, but the more advanced the round enhancement spell, the more ac it takes away. the strongest one takes 20 ac away but adds a nice set of abilities to their combat rounds... without the spells they kind of fight like clerics.. but they are great to have for party hunts and such. they cant use the stat spells much for scripting because they dont get enough mana to be able to :) i think its one of my better custom classes. I also added some armor sets for new classes.. Im kind of having trouble with adding them to the quests because the quest section cannot hold anymore of the long classok lines.. well.. meditate quest has given me that problem so far but no others yet.

I've never understood why edited boards commonly add in a new Samurai class and give them martial arts... samurais didn't go around jumpkickin people, dude :P

Hey guys I know this is an old post but I need some more info, or at least a clear definition of what is needed

I am making a sorcerer class and im going to have spells from mage druid and priest all lvl 2. My question is why I quoted, from what I make out of this post is that if I want the spells I need I would have to set the magic lvl to 2(any class) and reproduce all the spells from each class and class restrict the scrolls that I don’t want the sorcerer class to have right?? Please let me know if I got this right or im just looking at it ass backwards.

yes but mainly class restrict the scrolls you dont want the other classes that share a magery with the sorcerer to have.. if you pick mage-2 as the sorcerers magery you want to make sure mages cant use all the priest and druid spells you're copying into the mage-2 category, you dont really need to class restrict the mage spells since they'll get only up to mage-2 anyways

mm, wait a min. so if a spell is say, mage-1, a druid spellcaster cant use it, but if its none spell type, a druid could use it, as well as priest and mage spellcasters?
