I noticed there is a tool to compile a 'blank' wccupda2.dat...what is the difference between this a 'full' wccupda2.dat. Does it work just the same? Say I wanted to make a minor change could i just use the 'blank' one instead and it work the same? I am sure this has been addressed before but nothing I found was very clear. Right now when I edit something I edit in a seprate dir then compile a 'full' update and then shut down WG and copy the file from the sep. dir to the wg dir. Then let it do its thing. Havent had any problems with this so far. Thanks.
In essence im just looking for a faster way to make minor changes w/o having to go through all this.

a blank file is for bringing the board up faster since there's nothing to update on, you can check faster, and bring the board up full faster.

If you are just testing edits you can compile a blank update file so you dont have to compile an update after every edit you make. you can add/change some stuff, load the board back up, test it out, down it again, change some more stuff, test it again, etc etc. it's basically used for when you are testing out things and dont wanna compile an update everytime. there really isn't a need for the update file if no one is playing on the board at the time.
