Mud is one of the most addicting things in the world. I got hooked on mud at about 14. I played off and on since about 11. From like 14-16 I played all the time. Don't remember where I was, who I mudded with, but I remember that I had a blast (what a coincidence, that shit happens with drugs too ). I quit for a year (about 16-17) and got my shit straight. I realized that mud is a piece of shit. I realized that it pulled atleast 50% of my "awake" time. I was up until 4 am when I had school the next day. Do you know how many days I cut school so I could play mud AAAALLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLL day? I can count quite a few. I failed a bunch of subjects in school as result. I didn't tell anyone it was because I was playing a text game. Id be admitted to a state sponsored hospital. Anyways, I started muddin again late last year on Ray's board I think out of the blue for no reason at all. I wasn't 1/2 as bad with the cuttin school. I stayed up until 4 AM still but I just slept in school (Sleeping in school is much better then not going, you learn a lot more ). Around April-May I stopped muddin on Legion and stopped muddin on Morbid. I pretty much quit altogether. I feel like I have been freed from the invisible chains that strapped me to countless computer chairs, countless $2000 computers (to play a text game faster too), and countless deaths at the hands of the various dragons that have been introduced into the game. Through it all, I think I've grown a lot. When I was 11 I wished I was 19 because all the older people were "cool". Now that I'm 19, I wish that I was 11 because I still would still have time to beat my first modem with a bat. Not everything bad has come out of Mud for me. I've learned a TON about computers, I learned how to type, and I learned how to successfully memorize countless text maps. Important life skills we're talkin here. Above it all, I met all of you guys. I met "the community". More importantly, I met the "MMB community". The MMB community has been like one of them small mountain communities where everybody knows everybody else. The actual MMB board has been like the local bar right next to the town square. Good shit happens to people and you guys are there to enjoy it. Bad shit happens and you guys are there to comfort (or tell Erek to kill himself). There are a ton of different people here from the infamous necrophiliac Aragon to the infamous homosexual Ray (I'm just playin wit you guys). We even got the wanna be rappers (white canadians too). This community has it all.





I have just successfully rambled a few pages about nothing, but I just wanted to say thanks to everyone I met over the past few years mudding. Even thanks to the people who I didn't meet, fuck it, why should you be left out ??





Oh yea, I'm not leavin or anything, I just have too much time on my hands tonight.

NOw what is really sad is that at about 4 am when I'm wish someone would just walk into my office and go postal or Waco which ever way you wanna look at it. Hell I just wish i could me face down in some MMUD somewhere and not give a damn about what is or isn't about to happen.



I started playin MUD in general soemwhere around 17, I do remmeber it was a Diku called Dark Castle it was pretty cool, but I got to be a god in it, and then it got boring. So I went huntin for something new and I found a game called TeleArena on a board called NightLine well TA was alot of fun, we had a blast but the sysops got bored and started testing this new game and opened it up to all of us late night junkies, it was pretty neat, better than TA (less problems more bugs to exploit).

I remember once I created a char and it asked for my name I just hit enter and WOW it accepted it (ahhh what a great thief that was) But after many successful pkills & a ton of stolen cash and twice as much xp (monster can't hit ya if you dont exsist) Orfeo caught me online and rerolled me on the spot :( sigh.



Well then they decided to name it MajorMud because it was created on a MBBS called DreamScape (aka Nightline). And so the long nights turned into multiple nights, I stayed awake consecutivly for 6 days doing nothing but playing a game called MajorMud.



Well I quit playin mud all together about 1996, I just got flippin bored. But about 2.5 years ago I came back, I started playing on Sojourn again, (unarchived) my lvl 60 char (Oh fucking joy). Well I played on there and a couple of other diku's and a circle. Well about a year ago I started a new Job and was talking to one of the guys I work with, and he was on a board that had Majormud so I got the IP off of him and played for a bit, but they were only running mod 6 because they're too fucking cheap to upgrade.



BUt I was hooked again, I needed more. I went to Google and WOW I found that there is a huge world of Majormud to be discovered. I first found a legit board that was free, and then went to pay. So I paid to play for 6 months.



Then I got board of paying and knew there was soemthing better, and then I found MMB. So now here I am!

So I just want to thank everyone that has made MajorMud just that much more fun. To the guys from Lunar, Morbid, Sinister, OMC. If I can't remember you name I'm sorry for that too if you dont like it then Fuck you :)
