Yep..if you are running nt or higher its sounds just like blaster...just run the patch and you should be fine!

Blaster can fry em, not on purpose but we lost two machines at one of our plants, fried the mb just cause of all the restarts, then we lost a hd on another, only thing we can figure they where lost cause noone noticed that it was rebooting itself for awhile.

Wow, i never heard any causes where blaster fried the boards. The pc's i had to disinfect/patch survived it.

How many did you work with....in total we had over 5000 machines servers/pc's I dont think 3/5000 is to bad...

i ended up having to reinstall one of my machine cause of blaster... it didnt reboot me randomly as much as it crashed windows constantly

xp pro. I got a new motherboard, but got the wrong one, so I have to go back tomorrow. hopefully when i get it up and running again I'll have enough time to download the patch.

What brand mobo you going for? As for xetox's question only a lil 5 man network and my buddy's home PC. 5000, ich, that would have been a real clusterfu** to cleanup.
