Personally I dont know about now, but I know that when Asus moved away from Japan and started having all their boards made in Korea they went from #1 to being good as in name only. I went straight from a 486 to a pentium II mobo it was a Asus P2L97 it was an awsome board, I only got rid of it about 4 years ago when it finally went to FUBAR heaven.



But honestly if you want reliabliity go with AMD, hell the extra cash your gonna save pump it into a dvd-rw.



But that is my personal opinion :)

ok heres the deal i got 600-700 to spend on cpu, motherboard, ram, cpu fan, and new powersupply

speed is no longer the major factor its IPC (Instructions per Clockcycle) that determins how well it handles processes.
