Like a crack addict, yes I'm back to mud again. Just can't stay away from it. :) But that's never a bad thing.



Since I'm feeling the urge to play again, I thought i'd push it to the next level and run a board this time. Hence, TowerBBS is being born.



Right now I am planning on running 2 realms. One that is a semi normal mud with a few edits to make things more fun, and balance out the classes, but otherwise leaving it untouched.



I know a lot of people don't relish the idea of having just a plain mud however, thus I'm working on putting together a second realm with whatever edits you care to voice.



A lot of the information is on the board's site, http://www.morlockstower.us but I'll put a few of the ideas here as well.



Both boards are currently running m (subject to change if enough people want something else). Thus, I'm trying to do a few things to balance out the classes, so that your sneakers can compete with the godlike tanks of m.



There is also going to be 1/4 race/class experience charts, to enhance leveling. x4 item drops on monsters, 1/3 boss regen times (no instant regen bug...sry guys :P), x2 $$ drops from monsters and a few others that are under debate.



The second realm is less put together, as I haven't gotten a good feel for what everyone wants. But the idea so far has been to use the second realm to play a few different types of majorMUD. What I mean by this is that the realm is kinda a test realm for new ideas. A few of those being:



Highlander style - 1 life, everyone starts at lvl x. It will be a PvP brawl to see who is the best, the last one standing.



Power leveling - x10, x20, x100, xwhatever exp you want, all the lims you can get your dirty little hands on, as well as a few new and improved weapons/armor/monsters. All to delight those who have a need for the lvl 200 character.



PvP realm - we can skip back to k or whatever version you (the users) think best, and begin an all out pvp realm where death reigns and those who wish to talk big must be able to back it.



Basically anything goes here.



As to when the board will be starting, the date is sitting around the 20th of this month. The more feedback I can get about what you would like to see in the realms, the better I can make it for all of us before we start.

PHP-Nuke?? K. Here's what I can help with. Regarding my page, all you have to do is look at the left menu, click on forums, find what you want, and you're done. The only PHP-Nuke info that I can find on there so far that you might be talking about are advertisements that I haven't had a chance to make go away. You shouldn't have to click on ANYTHING that has to do with PHP-Nuke, unless you are trying to get to their site to dl the software or get info on it. If you want the software, I can put it up for dl later today easily enough. If you want the PHP-Nuke site, it's

Also, for one other piece of information about the board...



It will be opening the 20th, date is set now.



It will have one normal realm of mud with a few edits such as:



1/4 race/class exp

a few new items to help balance out classes (mostly mystics)

1/3 boss regen times

4x the drop rates (i.e. 1% now drops 4%)

double $$ dropped by monsters

running m version.



The second realm is for power leveling, though what all people want that to entail is still a bit vague. I put some polls up in the forums to try to get some feedback, so if you have any strong opinions as to how you want this to work, please visit the forums to vote. Otherwise, it's looking like it will be more along the lines of:



10x (base, if you want it higher....vote)

a lot of the same edits from the first realm



and that's it til someone says differently. Like I said, a lot of choices in the forums on my site for what more you would like to see added to that list.

He messed up the URL. It shouldn't have a comma at the end of it. http://www.morlockstower.us



And c'mon, you should know that. When was the last time you saw a comma in a URL? (While usable, they're not used much. And not like that, that's for sure)
