Man was made from non-life, and woman was made from man. Man is therefore the son of god, while woman is the daughter of man. Islam accurately asserts that man is thus able to understand Allah more fully, while the Jews misinterpret it to mean that woman more holy. I dont know their reasoning exactly. This is the standard interpretation in both Islam and Judaism, so I dont know what the Christians think of it.

Evian, the 'old testiment' isn't what the Jews consider the Torah. the Christian old testiment consists of the Torah, the books of prophets, what the Jews amusing call 'the writtings' and a fourth set of historical accounts and fables, called apocrypha. The Christians have made numerous changes to all four sections at various times in history, not the least of which was the 'creative editing' done on the King James translation, which itselfs was taken fromt he Latin translation, which in term was taken from the Greek translation, which, back in the day, was taken from the Aramaic translation, which (I think) comes fromt he original Hebrew. No serious scholar of any religion thinks of it as more than a historical oddity--for being the first complete English translation.

They were both messengers for the supreme being (Allah and God), however Mohammed was not Allah's son (if my info on the islamic religion is correct.) Maybe I'm off base with that and the disciples would be a better comparation? Mohammed is mentioned quite frequently whenever the subject of islam is brought up, I just thought I'd point that out. Please correct me if I'm wrong. I am going off limited knowledge.
