Being homophobic should hold no bearing on policymaking. And if I see that "I'm sick of people calling me homophobic, I just don't like gayness" post again, I think I'll just have to laugh. Homophobia is exactly that - treating gays as if they're lesser people. You're personally allowed to view homosexuality with a grain of salt, but it doesn't mean that legislation should be put into action because you don't like their lifestyle. If this actually possible, I'm proposing a bill that allows me to shoot people I don't like or agree with in the knee caps. Because, well, I don't *have* to like them, so I should be allowed to effect their lives. Because, you know, they do so much against me.
