All sorts of quest things for sale in the general store,

Eye of the beholder, all types of severed heads, black
diamonds, etc. Plus all level restrictions on alignment
quests have been removed.

All ive seen is people bitch about refunds when the sysop whos playing cheats and the sysop refuses to give refunds...

That's the most insane thing I've ever heard. The sysops from the bigger free servers in this community, I venture to say, know as much if not more than any other sysop legit or edited. That's a way to get users, insult this community! The people it attracts are people who aren't much different, except they generally do less than those on editeds, since they have to wait years to get to do anything.

Sure he isn't. Just because someone doesn't charge to play doesn't mean they don't have a dedicated staff.
Ops on edited boards are 100x more dedicated than on legit boards - I don't care what ANYONE says. Legit ops are also snotty as fuck.
Just because edited boards don't charge for access doesn't mean they'll be down in a day. Some of the edited boards that are up right now have been up longer than most Legit boards.
A lot of edited boards also run on dedicated computers, as well. That doesn't mean theres no lag. Just because he's legit doesn't mean he wont have some of the same problems edited sysops do.

Lunar Dynamics has been free for years. We dont charge and we run one of the most highly rated MUD's out there. Its pointless now-a-days to charge for mud becausae its so obsolete.

there's an electrical engineering program designed for dos 6.22 that STILL costs $750 to buy for a student copy.
