New BBS [Archive] - ForumsHQ

I'm planning on starting up a new board/new mud shortly after I get back from Christmas Break (early January).



I'd like to have a variety of users. Since most of you already play on several BBSes, what would you like to see on a new system? (i.e. what would make you come play here :D )



Here are a few things I am already set on:



- High PVP (Unlimited, maybe 20 lvls or so.. )

- No Dupes

- Limiteds will be Limited.



Some ideas I am toying with:



Scripting allowed, but must be at keys tentatively 8pm-Midnight

(dont know how well this would work but want to promote a time to be at keys) .. or some set hours ...



Slight increase to monster experience

Major increase to boss experience

Don't plan on getting to lvl 50 within a month.



The main idea behind this is to promote at keys playing and boss runs.



Any ideas? Flames? Comments? Let me know what you'd like to see.

I couldn't do all that mahself..no dupes, low exp (slight exp raise makes me thing maybe 2x?), limited, at keys hours..that's asking too much for my schedule:(

mine too. I like being lvl 50 within a month, otherwise there's no reason to come to keys for days. Just script script script til you can level...go level...repeat process. That's why most of us don't play unedited boards, because after a month of playing, you're still a peon.

Well as far as the at keys hours, I was only planning on making like 4 hrs of the day at keys.. but if enough people dont have the time to do that then I'll just change it to 24/7 scripting.



As far as the experience goes, I just dont want people getting to lvl 50 in one day. So I don't know exactly what I'll make it.. just waiting for suggestions.

trew trew...I also wouldn't suggest until midnight, some people go to bed at decent times to wake up early for work or school..

I don't agree with getting to lvl 50 in one day either. It took me a couple weeks on the board I'm playing at now....and it's taking forever to get to 60. hehe
