maybe these lamers that keep doing this are working for metro and trying to secretly destroy the edited community! Since that is basically what's gonna happen after too much more of this crap.

Naw.. Editing community will die if metro keeps screwing around with things like quest flags. (last I checked, we can't make flags stick to a character unless its a game built-in one.. I'm assuming that's still true..) This just shows that most sysops are incompetant. There are a few prerequisites to being a sysop on an edited board.



1) Have a brain (to make the actual edits)

2) Have a brain (to make sure your password is unique)

3) Have a brain (to not share that password with others)

My password was not easy at all to guess. It was the first time I ever used it anywhere. The problem simply was too many people had access to sysop accts.

Yeah, especially seeing as mudops on a regular board (regular board meaning a board that didn't specifically make a new set of keys for mudops) can use fu globals to look up anyones password as well.

according to dxpac, this is possible, he said he did it. what i'm thinking is that you can't just put an ability on a character ... a textblock has to give it. i'm thinking since metro changed some of the abilities they wrote some code that collects all the abilities that they actually give and if a user has one that they dont give then it strips it. so theoreticly as long as a textblock gives the ability somehow, it should stick. i'll test it whenever i find a free moment to do so.
