im using windows 2000 server, i swear this is the most fuckedup thing i have ever used.
dns is not microsoft word. heres a hint, go to barnes and noble, and buy the book "Dns and Bind" by O'Reilly. yeah, you aren't using *nix, but it will explain dns to you. or get one for windows 2000. read up on it and learn.

Is there something ive done wrong? the ip is static. Also can i set up telnetting on that if im running the webserver off the same one?
mmmkay, you need to find a webhost and not run your own dedicated server. A webhost will answer all your questions and help you fix shit when it breaks. Signup with one. I used to work for http://communitech.net and i would always like to recommend them. I myself have been working on getting my own going, so if you need space, i got it. Let me know.
