WGMan and WinXP Pro

Every time i do an install, i get the same Betrive error when i try to run wingroup manager under windows XP pro.... am i doing something wrong or does it just not wanna work for a strange reason.... im runnin WG 3.20.... if 3.30 would work better someone contact me about that.

the exact error i get are 2 GPF Errors, then a Betrive error that says create error 11 on file "gcstswap.dat"



I need to know how to fix this error so i can up a board for a group im part of.

install it in compatibility mode set to windows 2k..........

i set its compatability mode to win2k.... no change

try deleting that "gcstswap.dat" file and running the board

i did a search for it, and i couldnt find gcstswap.dat anywhere

Shrug I run home, 3.30 and no problems

i don't know man, never seen any of those. I run wg on xp pro just fine as do a number of others. only thing i would say is uninstall, delete the directory, delete registry keys, and then reinstall. but it sounds like you've tried that.

I'm going to go out on an limb here and say those aren't WG related. You can't create the swap file. Check your hard drive space, then check your attributes on files. I've downloaded programs that were read-only before. Run a quick attrib -rh *.* in your WG directory, and try again. This probably won't help, but it just might.
