NT Regen Problems

Post by syntax53 »

for all you people who think you've created problems with regen or think that editing causes regen to die in NT, fear not that it is a bug with NT and majormud, not you. in my experiences, if you just schedule an auto-shutdown event for around 6-12 hours after your cleanup (i always did 3pm cause people usually aren't doing anything then) it should keep things going fine. just the board going down and coming up re-inits everything.

mudcentral post (http://www.metrobbs.com/cgi-bin/yabb/YaBB.cgi?board=111k;action=display;num=1045099019) from 'coder craig' about the NT regen bug:

1.11n is slated to be out early March. This might change as we go back and look at the big picture of 1.11n, as bug reports continue to creep in, and wether or not the NT regen can be actually fixed with the release.

As far as 'other things', in terms of code, that will depend on if I can get NT regen fixed, and when in the timeline that falls -- if it gets done early, and I have a few days to add in some few, even if minor tidbits, I will.

Well heres some more bullshit on the metro front.

Coder Craig has been sent to a different part of metro and no longer deals with mud. So how the fuck are we to see Mod10 or the regen problem fixed anytime soon. Anyone remember how long it took metro to "Train" their new coder?

I have it from a good source Mod10 will be out within roughly 2-3 months. Unless this Craig guy was just moved within the last few days than it's still should be. Then again Metro likes to stall releases :)
