Ok, I am planning on updating from version K to version M. What changes can I expect in the realm? The only thread I found in searching that really dealt with it merely pointed out that manscorpions got harder...
Mainly, I'm wanting to know if the changes are going to be big enough to warrant a reset or not. Thanks in advance for the help.

Version Differences... ?
Re: Version Differences... ?
don't upgrade
use a fresh M install
I upgraded k to M and it screwed up...half my items had k stats, half had m stats, i'm sure items wasn't all that was messed up.

Ok, beyond that, are the version differences big enough that I should start everyone fresh, or just re-edit thier items and xp back?
Re: Version Differences... ?
why would you edit their items/exp? just keep the user dat....
I would only start fresh depending on the status of your realm now..is everyone like level 70+ and does the same old boring thing everyday: script???

Re: Version Differences... ?
People dont like resets, as for resetting thats entirely up to you, if that's an option personaly I would take a vote on your board and of course majority rules....

I don't have the release notes quite yet, as I have not gotten the patch. I am *planning* on updating, but if the changes are lame or game-breaking, I will not. My main concern is that I want to know whether the difficulty in M has been changed, so that I can make an informed decision on whether updating and leaving the char dats is fair, or if the difficulty has majorly changed, starting everyone out at level 1 again so that there are no unfair advantages carrying over.
Personally, I don't really WANT to reset, but if the difficulty is too different, it's not really fair to make the lower levels have to fight twice as hard to reach the same level as the upper levels, and it would be more fair to simply reset and have everyone gain levels based on skill, rather than on whether they were high level in an easier version.
If that makes any sense. ;)
Oh, and it's a no-scripting, live-play board, so it's not like people can just leave thier Mega's on and come back in a week at level 30. (well, they could, but within about 3 hours I'd see them scripting and ban 'em ;)).

Re: Version Differences... ?
The changes aren't worth reseting.
Does that answer your question?

All release notes can be found on mudcentrals forums, and in previous posts found in these forums. Just for future reference.
