OK, I am moving discussion of my terminal to a new thread. To answer a few questions from the other thread...
Yeah, I would like to allow a few ppl to beta test... All that is required is that you have a properly configured Linux box that can compile programs. If you are interested in this, email me at beta@mudpro.cjb.net. I will provide you with more details.
In case your wondering about a Windows version, I don't see it happening. The toolkits/APIs that I am using aren't portable. I looked at changing toolkits, but it would be more work than I can accomplish alone at the moment.
For databases, I am using Berkley DB. It's perfect for my needs. And since it links directly into the program, it's totally integrated. Editing data is just as easy as it is under mega, although my records are much different. This is mainly becase of how I am using the data. Spellcasting for example is done much differently.

Here's another full sized shot. On the left is the conversation window which separates everything into tabs. It's kinda quiet on my board tonight. :) On the right is the route selection dialog... pretty self explanatory.

Re: My MajorMUD terminal
Here is an example of defining a spell. It's similar to the combat strategy system. You add a spell in the order you want and set the thresholds you want for it. You can have multiple definitions for the same spell with differant settings if you want. You can set the thresholds to something other than 'greater than' too, you could also use less than, equal to, and not equal to. On the options tab, you can set things like 'interrupt combat', 'interrupt resting', 'interrupt sneaking', etc... It's very versitile.

Here is a shot of the message / response system. You input the pattern to watch for (using regexps) and then set the actions you want carried out when a match is made. As you can see, the list of actions available is quite extensive. This allows you to easily add complete support for any game message should the need arise.
