(I agree speed)
and dxpac666
I hear all sorts of numbers - 1 joint is like a carton -to- one joint like 4 cigarettets...
What ever it is, its a fact that pot has more "tar" then cigarettes. Its also fact that its the "Tar" buildup that causes lung cancer.

Pots bad ummmkkkkkkk.........nothing worse than a quiter telling someone to quit....
Re: Dell Dude Gets Busted For Weed!!
Shit, give me a good day and a fat bud and I'll smoke the equivalent of 5 packs a day in joints. I really couldn't give a fuck. I don't smoke cigarettes. I personally think this whole incident was an idea by Dell. Why do all the teenagers that buy Dells like him? Cause the bitch looks like a stoner. Now it's over every damn web site in america that the dell dude is a stoner. This just makes me want to buy a dell even more. I was thinking about buying a mac because the mac switch girl is a stoner too. It's called marketing - and dell is very good at it.

Actually, I wouldn't consider those to be indesputable facts...
Two things to consider --
1) Lung cancer rates in Jamaica are **significantly** lower than in the US. And those rastafarians like to smoke a looooot of ganja... so why aren't they all getting lung cancer?
2) The statistics on drugs in the US are usually done by organizations that get funding from the US government. Their findings are ALWAYS a "drugs are bad" mentality, the data is skewed -- simply because if they published findings to the contrary, they lose their funding.
For example, all of the US studies on MDMA (Ecstasy) find it to cause visible damage to the brain. Yet many European studies have found the exact opposite!
As for how the data gets skewed -- there's many ways to play with statistics and many ways to purposely mess up a study. For example, US researches go *out of their way* to find test subjects who have done MANY drugs other than the one they're supposed to be studying. So the results prove little, because they can't necessarily attribute the effects to the particular drug they claim they're studying.
Furthermore, I've been told that a lot of anti-smoking ads (er, tobacco i mean in this case) intentionally use old statistics from the early 80's -- on *unfiltered* cigarettes to boot! I don't know if that's necessarily true tho, I didn't get around to researching it yet.
