it freezes when i try to compile or exit, just goes white and locks up

You using the right version of nightmare for the version of majormud you're editing?

i didnt even have any databases open that time

if nightmare is open, and you don't get any errors when you open it, the you have databases open.



even though BlackHaze was a dick about it, he's right. the only information i have to go on is when you try to compile or exit it freezes. with that info, you will get no help. i don't like helping people who don't try to help themselves first.

You are lucky I didn't get to the response in time. I woulda been MUCH more of a dick about it. It tends to make people learn better.
