NMR Question

Ok, same problem a little different now. The spells aren't working even when I reroll now, when I wait for the update to complete.. I guess it's an error with a stat somewhere, so it's probably my fault.. Once I find it, I'll tell you guys. Thanks for the help :D

I figured out my later problem.



Thanks to syn and zan, though. The powers were messed up because I was overwriting the spell and user dat file. The whole thing is fixed now. My second problem (the powers not working) is because the race i was using I gave kaibind too, and forgot about it.. silly me. Sorry. :D



Thanks again for the help, you'll be hearing from me again, no doubt, on another stupid problem. Keep on mudding.

Ive personally never had problems with editing in real time. I have a low userbase right now so I guess I am safe with doing this. I am sure in the future ill be shutting her down before applying an update but it works for now. This is the 2nd board I am running. The first always ran fine and I have 20 characters on it at a time and nothing ever happened. I took that one down and now my new one is up and almost back to the old ones former glory.

Zan - I do the same thing you do, with 40+ users on, and I do it 3 or 4 times a day and it NEVER messes up. Occasionally edits don't take effect immediately, but usually with a cleanup they will. Or some things just require killin off the old things then at next regen time the new things come in. Maybe I've just been lucky, but I can't see why people always say editing while the board is up and putting the update in, etc is bad. Never caused any problems for me.
