GOD DAMNIT

Why must we switch every year? They will shut kazaa down, and a new one will come up. They are wasting their money. I haven't paid for a CD in years, and I never plan on paying for one again. I didn't pay for CDs before I had a cd burner, you know why? Cause they are too damned expensive. Stupid music industry.

I buy CD's all the time - i also d/l CD from the net -

Ripping CD to Wav - then to Mp3 - then uploaded, then downloaded, then turned into wav, then burned onto a CD leads to poor quality...

I download at 192-320khz. I have a very nice system in my car. I've been playing the same burnt cds since I got the system. If I put a brand new original CD in my car, and compare it to a 6 month old wore and tore CD, I get the same exact quality. I burnt The Eminem Show when it came out. I just stole my ex's real CD a couple weeks ago. They sound exactly the same. Everyone says it turns to poor quality, but I have never been shown proof.

The only type of poor quality I have ever seen is the CDs I buy. I buy the 100 cds for about $30 pack. Shitty cds. They scratch easy. As long as you take care of them, the quality is fine.

i buy CDs if they're worth it. I copied Linkin Park off of a friend of mine and thought it was one of the best CDs i've ever heard, so I bought it. If artists would put out albums like that where every song is good, I'd buy it. But they usually just want the money and put out a cd with 1 or 2 good songs at most.

I have the same 'policy' for software. I bought warcraft 3, diablo ii, half-life, quake 3, etc because they are all quality games. Shit, I even paid for a license of windows 2000 pro because I think it's one of the best operating systems MS put out. now when adobe goes and tries to charge upwards of $600 for photoshop, give me a f'n break. bryce, which can do a lot more cool shit that photoshop and 20 other photoshop-like products can't, sells for about $150. Still a little overpriced but reasonable none-the-less compared to the competition. I even think MajorMUD would be worth buying only because it is technicly a money-making product. BUT ... the quality of the product, lack of updates, lack of end-user support, and lack of pretty much about everything makes it not nearly worth it.

Nice. I've got a RF Punch 700s amp under my drivers seat runnin my two Kicker CompVR 12's in the back. I've got a punch 400x under the passenger seat runnin my four Infinity Kappa's in the front. All runnin off of those damn expensive as fuck fosgate amp kits. I've got about five feet of dynamat in the whole thing, cause I'm pumping all this through a tiny Kia Rio lol.

The Records Industry is being sued for price fixing and collusion as of right now. If they stopped collaborating and fixing prices, I would pay for them. You know that prices for music has risen since the 90's and it's one of the few things that hasn't dropped in price over that time period. You can't honestly tell me that they're more expensive to produce than computers to have a $20 price tag on them.

CDs are very cheap to produce. They look at the entertainment value. You would think that $15 - $20 isn't too bad for something that you will get potentially unlimited enjoyment out of. I just own about 50 cds, and at $15-20 a pop, it begins to get too expensive.
