I don't think you can actually schedule more than one cleanup, but you can schedule it to go down and come back up (almost as good). that can be done in the WG general setup under "Hour of day for timed event auto-shutdown #x"

Put megamud up. Have it auto-connect at a set time. Make your log in direct you to the sysop menu to run cleanup. It'l run cleanup. Just make sure you find a way to stop megamud from connecting after that, cause you don't want it to continuously run cleanups.

So if you did do the shutdown option as a second option would that make the bbs shutdown like forever until i tell it to reboot or how this shutdown option work?, Do it actually shutdown itself then wait a few minute it boot itself back up again?.

And aslo lets say I make the clean up ealier like say 10pm would that still cause problem for regen to die off? or would I still need a 2nd clean up to avoid regen to die off?

RTFM -- Under "Nightly Cleanup Routine"

on a timed event it shuts down, runs a batch file and any other things it's told, and then boots back up.

---[snip]

Timed Event Auto-Shutdown

For even more flexibility, the system can shut down and run a batch file at four additional times each day. As installed, these General Setup configuration options are not activated:

MSHHR1 Hour of day for timed event auto-shutdown #1 -1

MSHHR2 Hour of day for timed event auto-shutdown #2 -1

MSHHR3 Hour of day for timed event auto-shutdown #3 -1

MSHHR4 Hour of day for timed event auto-shutdown #4 -1

Like MCUHR, these CNF options accept whole numbers from 0 to 23, but as installed are set to -1 for never. For example:

8 8 am

11 11 am

13 1 p.m.

1 1 am

-1 never

When you activate an Event-1 timed event, the Worldgroup Server will scan through all *.mdf files looking for lines beginning with Event-1: (a similar scan will occur for Event-4 if you activate an Event-4 timed event).

As installed, wgsclean.mdf specifies wgsevt?.bat (assuming a batch file of that name exists) for each possible timed event:

wgsevt1.bat runs at the hour of event #1

wgsevt2.bat runs at the hour of event #2

wgsevt3.bat runs at the hour of event #3

wgsevt4.bat runs at the hour of event #4

Event-?: lines are in every functional respect identical to Cleanup: lines. The same warning about batch files executing GUI programs applies here, and you may create multiple Event-?: lines within the same wgsclean.mdf file. For example:

; WGSCLEAN.MDF

Module Name: Offline Cleanup & Events

UNCONDITIONAL

INTERNAL

; Add "Cleanup:" or "Event-X:" lines specifying applications to run, and

; the applications will be executed in that order, during cleanup or the

; specified event.

Cleanup: \TAPE\TAPEBACK.EXE \Program Files\Galacticomm\Worldgroup Server /L- /D+ /SNU

Cleanup: WGSCLEAN.BAT

Event-1: COPY *.DAT \BACKUP

Event-1: WGSEVT1.BAT

Event-2: WGSEVT2.BAT

Event-3: WGSEVT3.BAT

Event-4: WGSEVT4.BAT

as far as this, the time of day you choose to do the cleanup has zero effect on how monsters regen. you wouldn't want to do a cleanup at 10pm because then people in the middle of a boss run or quest run would get very screwed. i always did my cleanups around 5 or 6am. that way the chances of someone being in the middle of something are very slim, and if something went wrong I could fix it when i got up for work the next day.
