Heh, car problems

Post by Durin »

This is a question that most people dont ask here, car probs. I got this 1985 Oldsmobile Cutlass Ciera and it wont start. Gas is getting to the fuel injector and the only apparent thing is that the car is not firing. Like there is no spark, so any ideas?? Grin thanks for any help ;)

check for spark. take a screwdriver with a plastic handle, remove the end of one sparkplug wire from the sparkplug.. stick the screwdriver in the end of the wire and hold it close to a metal grounding surface. Have someone turn the key and watch for a spark to jump from the screwdriver to the metal ground surface.

well it has to be something to do with the electrical obviously... check solinoid, distributer wiring (cap connections) and spark plug wires... cant think of anything else
