Question on Rooms

I need a bit of help here for anyone willing to listen.



I just created a new bbs and in the process of editing it. I somehow seemed to manage to mess up the rooms so now leavin the town gates you go into the lucky strike casino. How would you revert this to the normal. I tried to remove wccmp002 file and replacing it and it seems to work for like 5 minutes then goes back to the same casino thing. I am using the latest verison of nightmare redux and could use a bit of help. ANy suggestions would be great. Thank you in advance.

reinstall Mud and replace wccupda2.dat with a base one?

I think I may have fixed it. I removed the old map file and replaced it with the new map file. then I went into nightmare so it loaded all the files (with the new map file) and exited and let it do its configuring a database. once that was done I then did a recovery and so far its working like mud normally should work. time will tell. If you still have some suggestions please let me know thanks.

(I'm guessing) what was happening was when you copied in the original wccmp002.dat you didn't compile an update file. so when your bbs started up and the update file ran through it re-f'd everything up.

I think thats what did happen and its all fixed now, I never ran the nightmare compiler again after installin the fresh maps. Thank you for the help!
