Trying to install redux....

error 1931 The windows Installer service cannot update the system file C:WINNT\system 32\scrrun.dll beacuse the file

is protected by windows. You may need to update your operating system for this program to work corectly.



1) I have just installed service pack 3, what else do i need to do to fix this?



When I go to open redux after it finishes installing it says...

Warning unable to verify dat file version. This is done by access the first text block. If your text block database is empty or missing this could cause the problem.



2)Fix??



I would assume this is the problem once i try to export i get this...

Rooms-couldnt get first record Error-Data buffer lenght(22)



3)Fix??



Thanks in advance, trying to upgrade from h to i following the instructions as provided.

u exportin before u overwrote ur files right?

-what version of mmud are you running?

-did you upgrade or is it a fresh install?

-do you get any errors besides unable to verify file version when it starts up?

-try it with the just released full install of 0.7.51 and also with the patch to 0.7.55

Im going from h, and wish to upgrade to k eventually

Those were the only errors i recieved.

I tried it with the new nightmare but it gave errors also.

are you able to at least browse through the rooms and other editors? go into the room editor and just hit next/prev a bunch and make sure everything shows correctly.



if not, something is screwed up with your databases. as far as the scrrun.dll error, i think as long as dll is there it should work.

i just finished exporting my old i edits, and i got this error



Error 3078

Source: DAO.Database

Description: The Microsoft Jet database engine cannot find the input table or query "Info". Make sure it exists and that its name is spelled correctly.



I click ok and it says

Export Complete

why are you posting this in this thread. if you have a new problem totaly different than the current topic make a new thread. it's free, only takes a couple of seconds, and is the new "IN" thing to do. you should try it.

Ive tried going from H to I with 3 diff nightmares, nothing works, wont let me view rooms texts nothing. Although in the database trasnfer there are text files in redux that shows class, races shops etc, can those be transfered to k. If not this is a waste of time because nightmare willnot transfer any data whatso ever
