Apparently Metro decided they wanted to get rid of our ability to make quests, so most flags like max damage or accuracy get checked against your quest flags. So if you didn't get your bonuses via a normal quest, you lose your bonuses in the new flag scan.
The funny part? It backfired, and it's eating legit quests now.
Metro's good for a laugh.

what about items?

Items work, but stat bonuses like the she dragon ruby... out the window. It will however eat unknown flags, allowing users to repeat certain hexed quests. I think Lance did that one, though.

yeah, and everyone thougt they changed the databases in 1.11h so that we couldnt edit it - We all know in this game changes to the databases have to be made for the game to evolve. I seriously doubt metro took the time to write checks that would stop us from writing quests, but insted, did it for themselfs so the game can progress.
when mod10 comes out, there will be more changes.... us 10 whole people in the world that edit it, are not the reason.

I'm just assuming on why. All I know is if flags get onto a char through less than legit means, they disappear. I can't see how that's targetteda t anything other than hexed boards.

can you elaborate on this a little more? i'm very interested in the details. im wondering what it actually checks. like if you have max damage +10, it checks all of your quests and makes sure that they add up to give you +10?

Pretty much. I editted +15 dodge, and it took it all away. I did the wererat quest, and editted it to +15 and it took it down to +1. It was taking away a buncha flags.. I think all the ones that get altered in legit quests.

They jumbled their databases, and capped everything from monsters to classes because of hexers. I'm not saying it's DEFINITELY the reason they did it... but I can't think of another one, and saying there's only 10 hexers in the world so it couldn't possibly be them is pretty asinine.
And really, the reason has nothing to do with either of the two points I had. First, their own protection backfired on them because they're idiots, LOL.. And second, anybody with new quests should hold off on j until this is cracked.
