Re: Formulae [Archive] - ForumsHQ
Spellcasting simply doesn't affect damage at all, it only affects the successful casting or failing.. the only thing that affects damage is your level, and each spell has it's own formula. As far as what SC actually does affect, as far as I know you subtract the spell's casting "difficulty" from your spellcasting stat and that's what % you should cast it without failing (capped at 98%, of course).

Re: Formulae [Archive] - ForumsHQ
ummm, if that were true, wouldn't most spells go through witchy MR?
Re: Formulae [Archive] - ForumsHQ
no..the spells cast successfully on witchies, they're simply resisted..
Re: Formulae [Archive] - ForumsHQ
What I said has nothing to do with MRes :)

Tsunami - to an extent, you subtract the spell's casting "difficulty" from your spellcasting stat and that's what % you should cast it without failing (capped at 98%, of course). sounds good..but I don't think it's right. My druid on another bbs has about 224 SC..he rooms using Acid Tempest, which is -80 difficulty. That would bring it to a 144% chance, or 98% right? I'd say he miss-casts about almost 10%, just from sitting there watching my script while talking over gossips or whatnot. It could just be my Druid, sometimes shit is offset like that..I don't know though, ya could be right and probably are.
