Btrieve Update error

I had version G with majormud and it worked fine. Then I got version I and now Im getting these messages when I try to start WG:



C:\WG\WGSERVER.EXE - BTRIEVE UPDATE ERROR 22 ON FILE ".\WCCUSER2.DAT"

C:\WG\WGCCMMUTL.EXE - BTRIEVE UPDATE ERROR 22 ON FILE ".\WCCMP002.DAT"



I think I have the WCCUSER2.DAT figured out. Still having probs with WCCMP002.DAT



I have re-installed it and still not working. I have run the offline utility WCCMMUTL DataBase Recovery and it gives me this message:



BTRIEVE UPDATE ERROR 22 ON FILE ".\WCCUSER2.DAT"

Unexpected exit. no recovery method supplied..



The person that was helping me do this part said he did not know why it was doing this still.



I would be grateful to any help to fix this problem.

From what I can tell, it doesn't look like when you upgraded from G to I the dats finished upgrading. Did you go straight from G to I, or did you install H in between? If you skipped H, you have to do that one, because that is the one that converts the database.

I have always started with G, upgraded to H, then upgraded to I. I simply run an offline recovery after EVERY step. Install G, let board fully start up/updates complete, run recovery. Copy over cracked DLLs, let board fully start up/updates complete, run recovery. Install H, let board fully start up/updates complete, run recovery. Install I, let board fully start up/updates complete, run recovery, let board fully start up/updates complete. I have never had a problem with doing it this way. It does take an assload of time, but it's worth it. Send me a PM, I'll get you set up Pike.
