I wont get into a political debate with ya atma....cause I like ya and I would not want to hurt ur feelings ;) But I will say to put another Democrat in office would be the dumbest thing America could do!
Sorry I am not a big democrat fan..
Me either. I find them to be a sad bunch of jackasses trying to be PC and going out of their way to lend a "helping hand" to minorities and women that DON'T NEED IT. They have an idiotic gun control policy that revolves around clapping their hands over their ears and screaming "I CAN'T HEAR YOU! I CAN'T HEAR YOU!" over and over when confronted with facts.
HOWEVER... There is no group on this planet that disgusts me as much as Republicans. They're matched only by the nazis. Unamerican in EVERY sense of word, republicans can't even begin to comprehend what freedom means. Time and time again, they try to impose their own morals or that of the "bible" on the public. To hell with freedom of religion, apparently what King James told us God said is the only religion we're allowed to follow. Tell me why homosexual marriages aren't allowed if it isn't those GOD DAMNED republicans disallowing it because THEIR religion says God condemns such behavior. Go ahead and try and come up with a valid explanation. The God I believe in isn't sending anyone to burn because the roll of nature's dice gave them an oddity. A great number of other people feel the same way. But we're forced to live under the rule of their "god." Tell me, how many people do you suppose put a bullet in their head every year in America because they differ from the norm in one of many ways and their conservative family won't accept it? And how many times a year does it happen in some nice liberal European country where sex change operations are commonplace? Republicans' lack of respect for their fellow human beings and their nazi-like desire to conform the world to their own twisted beliefs makes me physically ill. Of course, it doesn't just extend to spitting in the face of civil liberties. I've known a disturbing number of people with a variety of mental illnesses, from depression to skitzophrenia. Not once have I ever heard a conservative give them any advice except "get over it" or perhaps "stop feeling sorry for yourself." And many of these people, just like the gay 16 year old that just got disowned by his conservative parents, find themselves crying with a gun to their temple and their finger on the trigger. I say the blood of every single one of these dead innocents is on the hands of filthy, despicable conservatives. Conservatives are so concerned with bombing middle eastern countries to "protect the American public" that they don't even realize they're killing more of them than the enemy.
... And THAT, my friend, is why I go to the polls every few years, and cast a vote in the form of a straight democratic ticket. Not because I like the democrats or consider myself one, but because it's one more vote against the conservative madness that's destroying freedom itself.
I just have to share...
Re: I just have to share...
IF I were to vote, thats a big IF...I would not vote for any of these two parties that seem to be the norm of voting. It would be for one of the underdog parties..the green party, the communist party, whoever has a name that just sticks out and draws my eye first. Definately NOT Democrat or Replublic...you know, there IS a reason editorials use the donkey and elephant to depict those two parties...
Re: I just have to share...
I vote...but I dont vote for just democrat or republican...mostly yes its republican but I vote per canidant wether its for governor or president....But looking back I have never voted for a damn democrat president!
Re: I just have to share...
I'm not a political person, but at least in 8 years the democrat didn't get us into any wars, and within a few months the republican had us in one and is trying to get us in another one.

Re: I just have to share...
The electoral college is skewed in that it gives all a state's votes to whoever wins that state outright. Therefore, you have to win certain states with the highest amount of electoral votes, ie. California, New York, Florida, Texas, etc. If you carry those states and lose most of the smaller states, you could still win the election. This is horrible in that a president could win an election where fewer than 40% of the populous voted for them. Absolutely preposterous. (That's speculation, I would have to verify the numbers). It could conceivably happen though.
People look at things in democrat/republican or black/white terms and it is far deeper than that. Don't vote for someone because of what party they have, look at their record and do homework on them. That in itself is why we've had some of the biggest idiots in the White House. (Yes, Bush is on that list)

that is too funny! Some people just have way more time on their hands than any person should ;)
Re: I just have to share...
Food for thought...
1. After a meeting concerning terrorism some time before 9/11, John Ashcroft immediately stopped flying on commercial jets. He OBVIOUSLY had knowledge that there was some risk, even if they weren't sure what. The airlines were kept completely in the dark, and no extra security was taken.
2. Eyewitnesses from the WTC collapses claim that the US fighter jets got to the towers just "a matter of seconds too late after the second plane struck." Are you familiar with US fighter jets? They're not made for melee combat. They're made to get a radar lock and fire long range missiles from FAR before visual range. According to what these eyewitnesses are saying, those jets COULD have shot down the second plane before it hit the WTC. If they were only a few seconds too late as the witnesses say, they had ample time to lock on and fire missiles. Isn't it just a little odd that the fighter jets never managed to get to ANY of the planes? They can move at TWICE THE SPEED OF SOUND! One final note is that Bush's lackies said it was a "tough decision" on whether or not to try and take down the plane(s). No. The rule book says DO IT. No decisions. DO IT. Why the lies?
3. When the attacks happened George W Bush was in Sarasota, Florida on his way to Booker School. He showed up there anyway. It just doesn't work that way, boys and girls. The rule book pretty much says that in that situation, Booker School was the MOST DANGEROUS PLACE TO BE. The ONLY way this would've been allowed is if either he, or someone else in charge knew what the targets were and that Booker School was not one of them. Now I can buy that Bush is stupid enough not to listen to procedures. But the rest of the staff? No way. They knew something.
Now if there was just one really oddity with the whole 9/11 thing, I wouldn't be wondering. But three things, and I haven't even dug for more, I just ran across these. There is a very good possibility that the Bush administration had knowledge that could have saved those thousands of people, but did nothing about it. What did the democrat do? Oh yeah, he got a blowjob. Let's see... Getting a blowjob... being responsible for the deaths of thousands of American civilians and nearly crashing the economy... Gee, this is a tough one, which was the worst president....
And you wanna know WHY? Because the man is Dan Quayle all over again and he knows it. He's a joke. Everyone considers him a total idiot, and he only won the election on technicalities and flat out got his ass kicked in the popular vote. But this... this put America into a state of frenzied patriotism and made him look like a hero for dropping bombs on the Taliban. And what's happening now? Iraq is acting up, huh? Tell me, why is it nothing happened in the 8 years of Clinton, but in two years, there's a massive terrorist attack and the threat of a maniac developing biological weapons against us? This is giving Bush another chance to look like a great American hero. Correct me if I'm wrong, but didn't the president during World War II get to stay in office because it was considered bad policy to change administration during wartime? Hmmm... I wonder who we'll be bombing in November of 2004? I'll close my case on Bush with a quote from the Nuremberg Trials...
"The people can always be brought to the bidding of the leaders. That is easy. All you have to do is tell them they are being attacked, and denounce the peacemakers for lack of patriotism and exposing the country to danger. It works the same in any country."

In some of our cases, we don't need to. The most important things to me is liberal ideals, an open mind, and concern for civil liberties. EVERYTHING else is secondary. Even if there were a republican who fell into that category, they align themselves with scum like George W Bush and Bob Barr. Anyone who aligns themselves with people like that isn't going to get my vote.

Re: I just have to share...
So we convict people via the guilt by association theory? I can't see coloring you a thief because one of your friends stole something. That's just flawed thinking.
Our fighter jets have more than long range air-to-air missiles. Although I do find it hard to believe that our planes couldn't get there within 25 minutes of flight 11 being identified as hijacked. Norad wasn't called for 20 minutes. Why is that?

An interesting look at all of the foul ups made, maybe it was human error or maybe it was erred humans. The truth is out there....

There is some disturbing facts on that link, scroll down to the minute-by-minute account. This leads me to believe more than ever that the government could've very well been responsible for that atrocity.
