Well...right now, neither of us own anything lol...I want to get married..but life is kinda hard right now. I know we have been through a lot!(already have 1 kid, apt burned down, unemployment for 4+ months after 9/11, working 2 jobs now that dont pay anything, she cant work due to a bad back and no, she isn't getting disability, my car doesn't work, her car almost doesn't work..blah blah blah)
I could go on..and we are living at her parents house at the moment untill I have enough to get another apt...
I just dont know if its a good idea to get married while life is rough, or when it smooths over?

it shouldn't be about money. If you've been dating a while and don't get tired of each other or want more time away. Why wait? Pre-nup! hehe
Marriage is like a merging of corporations, that's all the government sees it as. When it is taken out of the government's jurisdiction, it will be a little less corrupt and mean a little more.

lol
Government sees marriage as one thing...bible sees it as another...a lot of people see it as another..
To be HONEST...marriage, is all paperwork. Nothing changes but you get lots of gifts and money(maybe we should get married), and now you are "legally" togather.

Fuk marriage...its bad enough that when you piss her off she wants to cut you into little pieces and feed you to the birds (no, I don't actually know anyone that gets this mad..but I've heard of similar incidents).
Marriage means little to nothing to anyone anymore...to the man, its more of a restriction to keep him from looking or thinking about other women (which of course they do in secret) and to keep them thinking their women are doing the same thing. To women its to keep them faithful and turn them into house slaves eventually where they take care of everything and the man slowly becomes nothing more than an income source..who has no clue how things are at the home when hes not there. To the government, its a small business merger/join venture..all paperwork and nothing personal. To the church, its a deeply religious and soul-binding process meant to try and coax us, or trick us, into thinking their is only one person for everyone..soulmates (this same thinking often causes divroces when someone finds someone else they begin to think of as their real soulmate)...I can go on, but I don't feel like church-bashing today.
In the natural world..one without preset rules imposed on ourselves by ourselves..marriage is useless..it keeps us from doing what comes naturally..meeting people, having fun, enjoying the company..having sex (yes, you religious nuts, sex is a NATURAL thing..not something to be shirked or afraid of) propogating the species..having children (for the semi-intelligent ones)...
Bah, I don't feel like writing anymore (my side hurts..I need a shower..theirs glass in my hair, and I still have to find a job without a vehicle now :-/)

I think people are making the mistake of getting married too young. People view marriage as an "adult" situation and kids are wanting to grow up too fast nowadays which leads to divorce in the end.
A lot of people are also getting married for reasons other than love. People are marrying for pregnancy and money and other sad reasons :(
Just my 2 cents
I recently married and it was the perfect decision. I'm 19, he's 20. We've been together 4 1/2 years, met 13 years ago. We know every single thing about eachother - and it makes our relationship so strong. We didn't marry because of pregnancy or money. We're very careful - and plan to have children in about 7-10 years. And if we were marrying for money, we wouldn't be married, lol:)
There are some young people that get married because they really do love eachother.

I completely agree. I know many people who married young and are still together years and years later. I was referring to most young people who end in a divorce that married for the wrong reasons in the first place. (I was one in my first marriage)
I wish you two the best of luck :) You're gonna have some hella hard times ahead and some absolutely rewarding times too. :)
