Old Linux server [Archive] - ForumsHQ

Hey xetox, lets turn that old linux box into a door server, we'll toss 5 or so games onto it and just let it run.. Mez well turn it into a TW's server as well.... (i hate that game)

I agree, there's actually some stragegy involved...not just a matter of whoever can script the most.

You 'script' some of the repetitive tasks such as trading between ports and colonizing however you still have to employ strategy to build up your home sector(s) and plan attacks on others. With tradewars you still pretty much have to stay at the keys, with mud you don't really have to do much of anything other than go level yourself every once in awhile and switch scripting spots.

I hate Tradewars Game Server it gives me all kinds of problems... like not being able to get it to connect when running on the same machine as Worldgroup, and random crashes Like the game though!
