Anyone know how to make NPC's? [Archive] - ForumsHQ

Ok so I have mod 9 running on my system but it's kind of sketchy... for some reason when people die, they're stuff goes *POOF*. So what I did was I bought the Gold ganghouse, and placed all limited items that have been dropped by bosses into the shops. So far all thats gone down is thrag, and the laby chest, so there isn't much there, but when people die, if their stuff is going to dissappear then they need to get it back, and the only way to do that is ti conjure it, so what I wanted to do was make an NPC that sits in a shop and conjures anything that's on the list.

I know there's gotta be a way to do it. Any ideas?

I'm only asking this cause I a saw a post about a guy who had an NPC on his board that when you looked at him, he gave you a mil or something. I dont remember details, but I'm SURE it could be done.

Instead of trying to find a workaround to your problem, why not just fix the problem? There has to be an easier way to fix your problem than to make a whole new NPC that conjures shit, ground that probably has not even been broken yet by the few true mod9 hex editors.

k well I know NOTHING about hexing... heh.. I used to, but it's been since like mod 4 since I've done anything. And I was under the impression that the problem was unfixable. You know a way? I am open to any suggestions..

Well, on 99.9% of the other mod9 systems, this doesn't happen. Have you tried wiping/reinstalling, installing 1.11g and see if it happens then upgrading, changing directories, changing drives, things like that? It might not even be mud, it could just be your computer. Things like that may help.
