Ray is right,it is possible to get it for free im sure, just a matter of knowing if the software sends packet data to "the mother ship" or not.

No doubt you have a point there, mine runs the hard disk like mad every time there is activity and the cpu usage jumps way up. Then again from the sound of your post you are running yours under linux/unix and mine is run on a windows machine but I'd imagine that it's just the fact that it's a perl script and an inefficient database that causes the high system load.
