Hey, just a question....

How many of you remember why you began to play mmud?

Ok, now that you are thinkin about it, can you remember what made you stay with the game? Was it the people, or was it the scripts that made it easy to play?

Just answer my easy little poll...and maybe when you're done, you can go answer Aragons poll so he can take that gawdy stupid banner off of MMB!

I started playing mud at Cyberspace.. on of the bbs thanked for beta testing. (oh i was playing during the intial beta test)

i was playing t-arena at the time.. then noticed a new game and checked it out. then got all my friends hooked. (okay, all 1 of my friends)

i first started when i was 12, RIGHT before mod 3 came out, and mod 3 was COOL. nobody scripted.

I remmeber playing pre MODs, it was incredible when GatewayBBS came out with MOD 1. Thought it was so cool all the new stuff it introduced. SO i've been playing since i was like 17 or 18, and im 24 now. Played because i got sick of Kirk in Tradewars2002 killing everyone.

I started playing in original beta, back when only 7 boards had it for testing, level 10 quest rooms were not completed, and thrag was in sewers

Well lets see... I started waaaaaay back in probably 94-95... Then I quit and picked it up again in '96. I've been on and off ever since. Right now i despise the game

I started by hand on a local BBS. We only had a few scripters... I got to level 19 dwarf/paladin by hand playing like 1 hour a day for a year . Then megamud came along and all hell broke loose....

Yea bout the same as Aragon started in like 93-94 then joined the Airforce and quit for 4 year, Came home and started Morbid up bout 2 years ago. Personaly I hate the game now but dont mind runnin a board.

I was playing on ‘the big Cahokia bbs’ back when they were beta testing it. Seems like a week went by b4 someone wrote a script for telemate. (damn i miss TM, PCP, and Terminate)

I got started playing from my cuz at the time who got hooked into it by one of his friends. Pre mods. Bascially I got hooked into it for PVP. There was a lot more to pvp than say Tele-Arena(which thats a different story). so a lvl 20 char played right could kill a lot higer people if they didnt know how to play. I loved it. I think the only script I had at the time was a gyard script that someone else wrote. Until i got smart and figured out how to write my own.

Heh,i remember when a script was run under Telemate that had just autoattacks for sewers, newhaven and graveyard, now that was da bomb.
