Stymied - Disk Quotas, Windows 2003 Server [Archive] - ForumsHQ

Having a problem with network logins in regards to an error message stating:

"Cannot load your profile..." and lower down the error box "insufficient disk space."



I'm assuming it has to do with Disk Quotas on the network drives, but I can't, for the life of me, find the setting on any of our servers.



We have a fileserver, bdc, 2 domain controllers, exchange server, IIS server, blah blah..



Does this have to be done locally, as administrator, on the host PC? Or done on server-side?

I've been looking all over for the Group Policies tab, Computer Management, etc.

I've never had a problem before - but I'm not familiar with Windows 2003 Server.



Anyone able to clue me in?

the disk quota setting (i believe off the top of my head) is located under properties of the shared drive.

I could probably help you more if i was at my server terminal

So it would be a local pc issue, not something handled server-side? In other words; log on as Administrator, right-click the shared drive, and modify the disk quota settings?

That's what I've gleaned from the Microsoft Help Center, other than scripting commands for setting/removing/modifying disk quotas.

Looked like a total ass yesterday when I vehemently insisted that it was server-side, and was unable to fix the problem. Luckily, the user was able to squeak by somehow and log on.
