Try the positioning Speed mentioned, you might have more luck. I'm a musician, so it was easy for me to slide my hand to whichever button I needed to push.

I looked at a few FAQs on google and everyone basically tells you not to extend your pinky but instead move your whole hand down one knotch because like a real guitar, it wont ask you to play the 1st and 5th keys at the same time but instead it will separate the ranges.

I guess I have a lot of practicing to do.

It lies, you play the first and fifth a good deal in the 80s version, and even more in GH3. Basically, all it comes down to, is playing more. The game isn't like some game you can just come on and automatically be good at... you have to practice it like an instrument. Trust me, the fingering comes natural after a while. The first time I saw an orange note, I freaked out and had no idea how I was ever gonna hit it.

So I was playin last night, and I pulled my laptop over and started the youtube video. Tried to follow the song on the guitar... pffft, theres no fuckin way. It'l take a miracle to ever pass that song, my arm got tired halfway through and it wasn't even the full song.
