Re: WoW: TW Discussion [Archive] - ForumsHQ
So far, I've noticed that rgen may be fixed, or it may just be clicking faster. You no longer have to rt-click twice on npc's. You still have to sit down to eat/drink. Spells still fizzle if you're right on the edge of their range, even if the mobs walking closer to you, the ranges are slightly messed up. Also, it dosen't remember interface settings (more actionbars).
Re: WoW: TW Discussion [Archive] - ForumsHQ
Stupid double posts. :(
Back to the tradewinds server. If you start undead, you'll notice deathguards with yellow !'s above their heads, even though there's no quest.
I was also attacked by a zombie who evidently had a potion of no-clipping. :P Almost killed me in the trainers chapel, because he was hitting me from under the floor. When I ran outside, he ran through the bldg., I ran around to the other side, and he just ran through.
The range indicator (white/red highlight on actionkeys) shifts on, even if you're out of range, and if you inch forward a bit, you can range attack mobs without triggering a counter-attack. If you use any dot's, however, they'll come for you after the first tick. I'm assuming this is similar to ghaleon's issue with his hunter.

You've just got this up for testing purposes, yes? Not going to try to take over this server like the RO one, are ya? :P
I actually ran a wow server for a while but shut it down due to lack of interest.

I have no interest in being a host for this game though, too many resources.
I will look for some fixes tho to the things you mentioned.

Ghaleon, I tried to login to your account creation IP and it didnt work.
INvisigods server, I noticed that mana does not regen reapidly on a mage. It ticks really slowly but will eventually regen if ya wait around a long time.
There are also 2 main warrior ladies in the night elf capital. Ill have to get the specific names later and there is also a gnome teleporter service to some battle arena, I didnt want to go into it because I like my growing warrior.
Sidenote: Beware of the trantula. He really hurts (little bronze spider moving around the forest)

Hey Seph,
The server is still in beta, I know.
But the wife, and a friend of mine are both interested in getting accounts. Is this possible? if so can I have them send you an email with info for account creation?
Debian

Zan - that account creation page is standard issue for servers, and I've yet to get it to work in Firefox. Have to click the dreaded "IE" button and paste the link if you want to make an account. /sob

Ok, Ill have to try that but Id prefer to continue playing on INvis's server, My little warrior is starting to kick some ass. Got him halfway to level 7 this morning.
IE is gay. Long Live Firefox!

From what I'm reading, it seems all emulated servers (private) have the same issues. Some are less than others, but basically if a user wants to play private instead of legit, you have to sacrifice playability to do so. I honestly don't know which I'd prefer - saving $15 a month or playing with a full deck.
As to having 2 copies of WoW installed on one machine - because of the registry entries I was unable to do this. When loading the WoW installer from disc it only has the option to Play WoW when it is already installed, no option to Install. So I uninstalled, reinstalled and patched to 1.8.0. No big deal, as I still have all the patches from Blizzard if I decide to go back to legit.
When we end beta phase there are several interested parties I work with/know to add to the user base.
I honestly don't see big raids happening. Maybe we'll be able to get 15-20 people online at once, but getting 40 together will probably be impossible. This is why I mentioned perhaps having uber characters available to enter the raid instances and play around.
Alterac Valley will probably be unavailable, no big deal except some of the rep rewards are pretty nice. The other BGs might be up once in awhile if we coordinate our logons.
In any case, I'll see some of you in-game tonight I hope.
