If your area cable company still doesn't have all of their wires underground, electrical storms can strike and cause the lines to have issues. The main issue is the fact that a storm can cut out your route to your closest router box back to your cable company, so the line has to re-route itself to another box, which slows down the connection and dumps you on OTHER peoples bandwidth.



This can, and will, happen, during a severe storm. Satellite is not the only connection to get hiccups during storms, it just gets hit the worst.



Bitching about lag is bitching about something that is way beyond any of anyones control, its petty, lag happens, deal with it. Most of the time, lag is on YOUR end. How many other people got lagged out at that exact same moment? Probably none. If so, it was most likely your end.

and what you're talking about is possible speed, but not probable. this has been going on off and on since i got here. usually once or twice an hour for 10+ seconds each, usually not this bad.

Yes, yes it has been bad..and I don't know what to say or what to do. GENERALLY speaking, the lag isn't bad..spike here or there, like most places. Every day for the past few days, about the same time mid-day, the boards gone on a drop-almost-everyone rampage..I'm getting 'TCP/IP Error' scrolling in my audit, and everyone is just being kicked off..it's not everyone though, 2-3 outside characters with the acception of mine aren't getting kicked off. It truly is weird.



Unfortunately, aside from that, I have some bad news for the Legit realm. It appears that it has met the same fate as my last near-legit realm, and is basically dead. This last crash toted some rather hefty errors, the same as what happened last time. I do not know what to say to the players of it, other than that I am sorry, and if you would like to play in the other realm that I will compensate for your loss. I will match your exp PLUS some, as well as items, and some cash to get you going. I truly am sorry, I know how nerve-racking it is to play a legit realm and then it's gone.. it has happened to me far too many times. If you have any questions you know where to find me, and please feel free to ask..
