I had to say something even though I don't own either.. and well I don't really play games unless you consider solitaire and free cell.. REAL games. But I have played Blinx before on Xbox... and I love that game.. it reminds me of the classic simple games I like.. like sonic.

Sonic rules... my girlfriend dug up her sister's old Genesis yesterday and we spent all day today playing Sonic and Knuckles. You know, back when games had unlimited ammo and you could just go nuts. I love new games, but man it kinda sucks having to do EVERYTHING, you practically have to tell your character when to breathe and fart for god's sake. Like Maddox of "The Best Page in the Universe" said... we shouldn't have to set aside a couple of hours of our lives to play a game because the save points are ridiculously few and far between.

I have a couple different emulators on my puter just so I could play sonic. I have all the sonic games too :) Along with some other emulated genesis games :)

xbox for quality, ps2 for quantity
ps2 has some cool games that are made only for ps2, but all games that are made for both ps2 and xbox, reviews agree that they're better on xbox.

i agree 100%. i own all three consoles, but play xbox a lot more than the others. plus the fact the homebrew has come so far on xbox. i play snes, nes, gba, gbc, genesis, mame, and of course xbox all on one console. you can't say gamecube is only for 10 year olds. mario kart double dash, super smash bros, metroid, zelda, super monkey ball, etc, are all very very good games.

Well I can think of a few reasons why..
1) P4's eat the corn out of my crap.
2) Laptops are damn near impossible to upgrade so in a few months it'll be obsolete.
3) With a console you just plug in the controller, pop in the game, and go.... with a computer you get to install and download patches and then figure out some clunky control with the keyboard and/or mouse unless you pay extra for a control which may not even be compatible with all PC games.
4) Did I mention that P4's blow goats for quarters??
I have a P4 laptop that's... 1.8?... GHz, and a P.O.S. Ravage DDR video chipset, and 512 DDRRAM.
I use it when I want to surf the web.
HOWEVER, while watching anime or listening to music or playing games (Command & Conquer is god...) I always use my desktop, which is a workhorse. It's an old-ass AMD Thunderbird 1.33 GHz with 512 MB DDRRAM and an ATI Radeon 9800 128DDR... great machine, and runs a hell of a lot faster than my laptop, which I always leave plugged in because of that stupid SpeedStep bullshit.
