hm... try pinging some IP addresses near yours (ie, just change the rightmost number in your IP addy) and see if they get the same ping times or not, that might give you an idea whether it's a router in your area, or whether it's specifically your computer.



also, consider putting up a freeware firewall or local packet sniffer, and monitor the logs to see if you have a lot of inbound traffic to unexpected ports...

I think I've narrowed it down to either Apache 2.0.48 or MySQL causing the lag. One of the two must be sending out queries for some reason or another. Unfortunatly my knowledge of each is very limited.



If anyone has any tweaking advice on either or, it would be very much appreciated.

i know you have more than one computer, there's no need to host everything on one dude, get a router and put all that crap on a different machine. it doesn't require a 3.2ghz processor =\

You might want to consider checking you Apache/SQL logs to see if you have any "unusual" activities.. :)
