Can anyone help me my Sony Vaio doesn't stop beeping when I'm doing stuff on this computer. It happens when I'm playing games, encoding a video file and installing new versions of windows. Don't know what to do. Can anyone help me? Thank you

"overheating". either the sensor or whole motherboard needs to be replaced.



The beeping goes away once you stop the game or whatever right?



If your fan's running at normal speeds (look in bios), it's a flaw in the hardware.

oh ok I'll check that. what is my temp supposed to be?

50-60 with stock fan

ok this is what it says in my bios setup



MB TEMP 38*C/100*F

CPU TEMP 78*C/172*F



CPU FAN SPEED 4326 RPM

POWER FAN SPEED 4467 RPM



ALSO IS THERE ANY WAY THAT YOU CAN VEIW YOUR CPU TEMP WHILE YOU ARE IN WINDOWS. MAYBE LIKE ON YOUR DESKTOP OR SOMETHING.

yeah that's a freaking high cpu temp.



fan speeds are about right.



SiSoft Sandra lets you view your cpu temp I believe

call and complain to sony



or replace the heatsink fan. you need to get that temp down by about 30 degrees C

It's not the fan. Most likely, it's a problem with the sensor. I have the same model & experienced the same issue.



I had to send it back twice - problem went away when they changed the motherboard I believe.
