First of all, Miles, your full of shit. Only play on this bbs if you LIKE cheating sysops and pos bbs's. Darkon doesnt really know how to edit, so when he divided all bosses by 4, bosses that were 3 hr and under became instant. He found out once, and fixed SOME bosses, but not all of them. Two people began abusing leo the quick (he was instant) became number one, klled bosses, ect. I agree with what he did at that point. He asked them to reroll, and stripped them of there limiteds. But, the odd thing is what happened next. APPARENTLY its OK for Darkon to have 2 dupes, on a non dupe bbs. Whats funniest about this is, after Darkon found out about instant Leo, him, and his dupe became #1, and #3, his other dupe was only played sparingly. Then, because people were pvping him, and winning, he started using his dupe to help him pvp... Cool eh? Just thought yall should know, incase you thought it looked cool, its just a pos imo.



P.S. Probably one of the funniest things about this is, that the limiteds he had stripped them of, was mainly thrag gear. Now, that in itself is not funny at all, but he started WEARING them, while scripting, and pvping instead of reendixing them, or holding a pvp tourney for them like he said he would.

Notice the Dates on MY post. As far as credibility - I agree with you. Darkon should not of had his dupes on, Nor should of held onto the Lims. I WAS planning on talking to him about it, but unfortunetely I have a real life, with a real job, and no time to play hanky panky on the text-adventure game..



BUT - Darkon had good intentions at the beginning, whether it panned out right or not. Im talking to him right now, and I'm going to help him work a few things out, and make SURE that nothing lame is happening. The dupe thing pissed me off.. trust me.



Also remember, The people he was dealing with (Blood, -Splat/Moo/Ant-) were both shit-talking idiots who would do whatever they could to make things hard on a sysop. They've done it to me, and its lame and its pointless. Moo is by FAR one of the BIGGEST morons ive ever seen play mud. Blood as well, was a big idiot, with catchy comebacks like "n00b". I hate that shit. The 8 year mud career of a "n00b"? Get a god damn clue.



Anyways - I Guarantee that things would of gone smoother, or a quick resolution would of been solved if 1. No 'n00b' idiots were there to making existing problems even worse. 2. If more players (ESPECIALLY MYSELF) Were that to give better imput on how things should be ran. Darkon emphasized how much he wanted user imput.. and trust me if I would of gotten to the keys before shit hit the fan, He woulda got alot of imput from ME about the dupes.



Anyways - The BBS will probably return in better fashion, a 2nd time around, with better set guidelines and more planning. Also, Darkon *IS* The God damn sysop, he *IS* Offering a service to Users, FOR FREE. There was what, maybe 10 users online max? Whats the big deal if *HE* Wants an extra dupe? I Could care less. The idea of him taking up top spots, lims, and PvP'ing with dupes however, is unacceptable if he wants to make it work.

As long as you keep the idea, that the sysop doesnt have to follow the rules, becuase he owns it, You, or anyone who has the same idea, will NEVER run a good bbs. Mudrevolution is ok, because you dont play, so there's no sysop conflict. But if darkon is going to cheat, he needs to be prepared to get some hefty criticizm. Especially if it has been specifically stated that he does not/will not cheat...

After hearing Darkon's side of the story..shit makes more sense. My "informant" left a few things out....they should have been mentioned. This bbs has the base for something great. I'd urge people to check it out, and to ignore my first post. Everything had a reasonable explanation. As for the post about authority figures feeling they can break the rules...its a serious problem in American, which should be fixed.

I have to say, that almost none of you know me. I have been floating around muds a good 9 - 10 years and played mostly legit until about 3 years ago. Once I started edited, its hard to go back. Eventually, I bailed out again because of people who just whine and complain about everything and anything, so I went to playing circlemuds (exile.lurker.net port 4000 if you want to check it out). After a long retirement Primal insisted that I play again, so I did, and of course, he no longer plays edited muds.



I been to a lot of bbs', I've ran a few and helped with more. Mudrevolutions is by far the best I have ever seen. What bothers me is: The same people that I see try every new BBS go to them and just let this shit fall from their mouths as if they were waterfalls. Its absolutly ludacris to see how much people talk shit. Upon looking at it, they have to be the younger generation, 13 - 16 or so, because I can remember doing that too. But listen up guys: Its scarier if you dont say ANYTHING. Nobody can rate you at all. Nobody can see what your talent is. All you can accomplish by shit talking is a swift kick in the groin when the person your talking shit to beats the fuck out of you. After that, the excuses fly and its "Oh I was lagging! Oh you fucking cheater! Oh he was 20 levels higher than me!" Take your deaths, move on, get more gear. Not hard. This is my moron talk for the day, I was bored.
