One should ALWAYS have a backup of all the .DAT files before you edit anything. Just reinstall mud to get back to the original DATs.

unfortunately, if you didnt make backups, this is going to be your only option. you CAN however, divide exp, reset boss times by hand etc. its a trial and error type thing. it would take far less time to reinstall. and copy all your dats into a different folder for future back up purposes!

Well I'm gonna leave them alone on my main system for now.

As I got my dads laptop today which is just going to have the OS my AV, WG, MMUD & Nightmare and nothing else. It's not what I thought it was. It is actually a PII 380 with 128 MB of ram and a 4gb HB, but running bare bones it should be ok for a little while.

Huh?

Sweet, now all I have to do is find my video switching box, the laptop display is busted  and wipe it (once I have the driver files off), and then reinstall my os, wg & mmud and I should be online :)
