sex - lies - and video tape

then...

"intelligence gathered by this and other governments leaves no doubt that the Iraq regime continues to possess and conceal some of the most lethal weapons ever devised."

now...

"Iraq had a weapons program."

or

"intelligence throughout the decade showed they had a weapons program."

10 years is a long time.. sense 1998 when the inspectors left and whether Hussein continued to possess such weapons in quantities to threaten the free world is a different story...

history will record that the U.S. made the "absolute right decision" in attacking Iraq.

Damn skippy it was the right decision. Would be the right decision to go after the many other evil regime in the world too. To bad we need to lie to the world in order to right the wrong do'ers...

Well, as long as its in our own hemisphere we don't need to lie. Look at Cuba and Powell standing nose to nose right now.

The Organization of American States has a 2001 Inter-American Democratic Charter.

That document declares that the people of Americans have a right to democracy. NOT yadda yadda except Cubans, have a right to democracy.

anyways, im off the topic of IRAQ and thats a whole thread alone.

---- onto the sex ----

Al-Sa'ah reported Saturday that 18 Marines kidnapped and sexually assaulted two teenage girls killing one of them.

Of course our thorough investigation into this supposed account, shows its inaccurate, irresponsible and purposefully attempts to damage the credibility of our forces.

and of course a Muslim wrote the artical. All he had to say was:

"It's ture, this was a dangerous report." and "but how many of America's articles are lies? Does that make the american government want to control the American media? Is that democracy?"

A little different wave link their Qubaisy...

The Washington post, The New York Times, The Associated Press, Knight Ridder Newspappers

Maybe this made sense a few years ago.

I dont see how you can consider invading another country a Good thing. True Iraq had broken many UN resolutions. but heres a Little known fact. The us has not had a UN inspection in over 25 years. Why? Reasons of National Security. If we can bully the world and demand others get inspected, why cant the world demand to see our nice lil seceret bio programs, our nuke stockpiles (which are aging and are failing and may just detonate on the will of god). We did the WRONG thing. We always do mostly the wrong thing. The last right thing we did was World War 2.... ever sence then all we've been doing is bullying the world to prevent communism or any other precieved threat to a lifestyle of decidence.

one could say that. one could also say that we took out a country that tortured their own people by making them step off a tire into an electrified pool of water. one could also say we do what we do because other countries just sit back and watch and wait for the worst to happen before taking action. if we didn't go into war with iraq, no progress would have ever been made in making iraq a better place for it's people.

*I DON'T GIVE A SHIT IF WE EVER FIND WMD IN IRAQ*

i personally believe that what i saw on TV (and even all the foreign channels) during the war justifies enough our going there. THE PEOPLE OF IRAQ WANTED SADDAM GONE. have you heard one iraqi on TV say he misses Saddam and we are bastards for taking him out? No. Sure, they don't want us there either and they want us to get the hell out now that we're finished, but that is expected. they have every right to fear that we wont leave or that we'll take over their country because they have no reason to believe what we say. fact of the matter is that even THEY wanted us to do what we did. they just don't trust us enough to repair iraq and get the F out.

Who says its the wrong thing to do? Who says its the right thing to do? Do you say when its right or wrong, or do I get to say when its right or wrong? Who decides on these "moral rights and wrongs"?? They are all bullshit. You are entitled to your opinion. I am entitled to my opinion. I think I'm right, you think you're right. There is no common ground in this discussion. What the fuck do you guys keep opening up new cans of worms for? This turns into one huge political flame. 90% of you guys wouldn't know politics if it slapped you in the nuts. I don't know much about politics, and I don't claim to. If you have a political party thats better then the current government, stage a military coupe or run for president in 2004. Sheesh, just drop it. Its over.

What? I've actually read MANY quotes from iraqis saying that they preferred Saddam's regime to their present conditions! There are many quotes from Iraqis saying things like "At least under Saddam, we had paying jobs" ... "we had power"... "we had food and water" ... "the Americans just want our oil" ... "The Americans need to leave our country alone, this is worse than Saddam's regime ever was"...

Furthermore, as sick as it is, there were a decent number of Iraqis who were actually Saddam loyalists and much preferred his regime (mostly because these loyalists were in power, granted)... but in any case, my point is, there's currently a huuuge number of Iraqis that are VERY unhappy with what the US did do them, this is an undeniable fact, why else would so many Iraqis be staging protests, throwing rocks at US soldiers, firing weapons at Us soldies, etc...!

And think of all the Iraqis that died in the war... now think of all their orphaned children... do you think they're gonna grow up loving the US? Or do you think they'll grow up to be extremist terrorists who hate us? I think the latter is more likely.

this all post war aftermath. yeah, it's F'd up there right now --no good policing, no good security, no good econimics, not good much of anything. but you need to understand the amount of work that goes into setting up a goverment. you can't exactly just pick a bunch of names out of a hat and call it a government and then leave. they had all these things under iraq because they had a working government -- just a very immoral and corrupt one. all these things can be fixed with a good government in place, but you can't expect the US to just pull it out of their ass.

War for peace is just the dumbest thing I've ever heard. And no, you guys didn't say that (or at least not as far as I've read), it's just what has been said by others, and I don't believe war for any reason is justified..just because there is always a way around having a war..you just have to have the patience and courage to find it..Our president doesn't have either.

On a side note..did you guys know that Bush is pushing for a bill that removed the overtime laws that are in effect right now (the ones saying you have to be paid for overtime). In this new bill, it would make overtime for hourly wage earners worth $0.00!

Congress already shot down a similar bill in the H.R. (I just received a letter about that one from Congressman Frost yesterday).

Yeah, I won't be voting for Bush during the coming re-election-- he's screwed me, or tried to screw me, too many times during his short stint.
