that i could see, i do that sometimes with stuff too. i think i use excel most as a medium between file exchanges than for doing spreadsheet data :) .. still gotta watch for commas separating fields that shouldn't be though.

I always use the tab wizard and set my own tabs, I don't separate by commas. Unless of course the fields are different sizes, which your data is, so I can see where the problem would be.

so really, that hasn't solved anything..i'll try the excel first thing 2morrow, i'm bugga'd i'm goin 2 bed nite ya'll
