OK, here's one of the more interesting things I have done... customizable combat strategy system.

With this, you can lay out complex combat tactics to perform. What you do is add as many "strategies" as needed and then arrange them in the order you want. Each strategy carries out a certain task while it remains within the thresholds you set for it. You aren't restricted to a few static slots for attacks and what not anymore. It's completely free-form and dynamic.

There are several strategies to choose from, each has it's own set of thresholds you can set for it. Such as number of rounds, a specific target, minimum mana and mana tick rate, monster HP, etc... With this it's possible to use your resources to the fullest. If you have a monster close to death, it won't waste a powerful spell. It will use a weaker one instead (but still powerful enough to do the job.)

Here is an image of the options panel that might help illustrate what I mean. It shows my definition for fbal (you can have multiple definitions per spell if you wanted.) Basically it says: do this while mana is above 60%, there are at least 3 monsters present, mana tick is at least 1, and the average HP of all monsters remaining is at least 80. Oh, and for no more than 99 rounds :)

Hopefully this all made sense... it's pretty different from megamud.

UGH

i played that game for about 4 days then realized i didn't like it

the monsters get harder and harder and it's annoying when they keep shooting you with arrows then run away. it's really teh gayz0r

and you can't lose, you just drop and come back as a ghost then spawn and kill 'em. it's pretty dumb methinks
