my dad changed our network around a bit, and now every once in a while (usually about 10-15 minutes), when i click on a link in IE, it pauses for like 60 seconds before going to it..... i could click on it as much as i want and nothing happens for like a minute....
im not sure, but netscape doesnt seem to ahve this problem.... any idea what this could be and how i could fix it? w/o getting opera or something?

Use Nutscrape!
Re: IE problem [Archive] - ForumsHQ
Use Mozilla thats what i use, because IE is so tightly integrated into Windows itself its naturally going to have issues from time to time. Im waiting to see if Konqueror will get ported to WIN32. :D

Hmm... update.. I was mistaken.. Seems like Nutscrape is having the same problem.. Prolly a dns and/or firewall issue. :(
Re: IE problem [Archive] - ForumsHQ
I have had the same problem since I installed my Linksys router. I just live with it, can't find anything for it. It happens almost every time I open IE, and every once in a while when I try to open other apps. I just wiped my drive, so I don't have the problem any more... except for the fact that I don't have an OS on it right now.

Yeah, exactly the same problem! I doubt wiping my drive would help.. heh. ;)
Re: IE problem [Archive] - ForumsHQ
I didn't wipe my drive for that reason grin, I wiped it to do a fresh install of redhat which I'm probably gonna wipe again and go with FreeBSD.
