sys edit?

hiya,

i was wondering if someone could explain the sys edit command. how do i use it to change a users exp/level? or can it only be used on the sysop? and what does "sys edit userdefined" do?



anyways im running 1.11h and trying to figure out how to edit exp. ljn doesnt seem to work on this version.

sys edit is gay, I mean its really only good for a sysop to test out new areas/races/classes/monsters/items. IMHO its kinda gay for you to edit another users exp/level cuz its just cheating. and the sys edit userdefined is unknown to me. Anyways, type sys edit exp 123123 <---the #'s is how much exp to edit. Then sys edit mana bleh, sys edit hp bleh, sys edit str bleh, sys edit wisdom bleh, sys edit agil, sys edit cha, sys edit int, sys edit hea, and I think thats it.. anyways

i've not figured out userdefined either.. i have noticed that you cant edit another users stats (at least I havnt figured out how) and you wind up with the crappy -Immortal! next to your name.. and you dont show up on the top list while thats there.. but whatever..

sys edit userdefined is for editing the amount of runics it adds to your character...very useful if you wanna hand out cash ;)

lol.. thats much easier than sitting in the bank .. sys edit copper 1000000000, dep 1, wit 1, dep 999999999, dep 1, wit 3000000 .. hehe good to know anyhow, btw I was gonna ask.. with ljn's update feature .. how does that work in conjunction with dll's that dont read the update.. like that particular crack for metro commands i think removes the check for update.. yet still screws me over when I try to edit things .. (at least.. I think I remember it doing that..) In what circumstance would I be able to use get the best of both worlds?

sys edit is rather useful to me... for instance if a player dies somewhere tough and needs a hand I can I can edit my character to go help them... I don't play so that's the only way for me to reasonably be able to do something like that.

As for the LJN question, if your dll is cracked for the update file, then its kinda useless heh...but if its not, then you recompile the update file and your regen problems whould be absolved...
